Spread Bagelry is there for customers every day. The 11-outlet shop across Pennsylvania and New Jersey serves up Montreal-style woodfired bagels along with unique sandwich creations. While COO Brooks Tanner is passionate about the customer experience, he’s also passionate about taking care of many others.

It starts with his own employees. Brooks strives to go above and beyond in the area of retention and recognition. To emphasize his people-first philosophy and engage those who make his business run, he spotlights and celebrates employees on social media and organizes company picnics and holiday parties as a way to thank them for their hard work and dedication. And to further the recognition, he gives out awards to those who have demonstrated outstanding performance. This commitment to people is a big part of the company’s success and one reason Spread Bagelry will soon be able to open three new locations, including one in South Carolina.

But it doesn’t stop there. Brooks and Spread Bagelry has formed “Team Spread Love” benefitting The Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation and Autism Challenge to raise funds for innovative research and care programs. The program sends needed resources to doctors and scientists at leading research institutions.
